2Formation Z is a horizontally scrolling shoot'em up where you play as a robot that can transform into a fighter jet. The fighter jet form is necessary for crossing water gaps and uses fuel that can be collected. Both forms shoot in three directions. Aside from some parallax scrolling the visuals are pretty generic. The shooting angles are awkward, boss battles are dull, and the sound is annoying. The ability to change form is interesting but there are too many annoyances to make it worthwhile.
