8Yume Penguin Monogatari is a platformer shooter where you play as Penta. You power up by drinking diet drinks and power down by eating anything else. When you're overweight you have a limited blubber attack but as you lose weight you gain the ability to kick and eventually shoot projectiles. Getting hit loses time off the clock and if you reach the end of the level without reaching a target fitness goal, you will need to restart the level again. This is a good mix of platformer and shoot'em up with a unique theme and interesting gameplay. I did find it frustrating to get to the end of the level and have to restart because I hadn't lost enough weight however.
