9In Castle of Illusion the evil witch Mizrabel has kidnapped Minnie and it is your job to rescue her. There are six levels and you can choose the order in which you tackle the first three then the next two. Unlike the Genesis version, you have the ability to pick up, throw, and place items and you must use those items to solve puzzles. The button setup is awkward button and it can be difficult to tell what you can interact with on a level. Those minor issues aside, this is a charming action platformer that looks great and has the right level of challenge and puzzles. It's a light and fun game and one of the best for the Sega Master System.
