7Shinobi is a side scrolling action game where you play as Joe Mushashi. You throw shurikens and perform melee attacks to kill enemies and rescue children. Bonus stages give you an opportunity to obtain one of six types of magic spells. This is a good action platformer that lives up to the arcade game. Some of the changes like how the magic system works and not being required to rescue the children don't make a lot of sense though. It's also weird that magic cannot be used in boss battles however it's still a decent game.
